Ellen Hermens "Be a king on and off stage - presenting and representing"Ellen Hermens

Imagine a speaker, confident, charismatic, delivering an excellent speech, fascinating the audience by an outstanding presence on stage. This speaker truly “owns” the stage. It´s fun watching the speaker. After the presentation you approach the speaker and see that the promise the speaker made on stage is confirmed by a consistent behavior. This is what great speakers do: they are king – or queen – on AND off stage.
This workshop is about your presence on stage - and off stage. Presenting on stage is in the spotlights it is important for a speaker to own the stage, build trust and a relationship with the audience and to make an impression. With a few techniques and methods you can learn how to easily achieve that.
While the main focus stays of course presenting like a king – or queen – on stage a speaker also can increase their credibility off stage. This is the representing part: your impact you make off stage which confirms the image you built up on stage. You will get a variety of options and some exercises you can easily adopt into your repertoire of speaking skills.

Mahima Lucille Klinge "The Art of Listening"Mahima Lucille Klinge

Ever have the feeling that it is hard to focus and listen? That the voice in your head seems louder than the voice outside that’s trying to be heard? We enter most discussions more focused on what WE have to say, as opposed to listening carefully to what needs to be heard.

Good listening skills leads to better communication and happy, healthier relationships with work colleagues and loved ones

This workshop will help to drastically improve your ability to listen. Also, it will help improve your capacity to give great evaluations and feedback at TM meetings, in the boardroom and at home.

If our leaders of today had the power to listen to each other, we would probably be living in a more peaceful and balanced world!

Mahima will use meditation to radically improve your listening skills. Science has already proven that meditation has an invigorating effect on our brains and our wellbeing. Even after being exposed to just small amounts of guided meditation, test subjects showed an increased ability to focus on difficult tasks.

“I believe that meditation is a new power tool for polishing our listening skills and becoming great leaders, that truly inspire, elevate and motivate those around us. Come and help me start a listening revolution! A world that listens better and therefore communicates better.” Mahima Lucille Klinge www.mahimasworld.com

Olivia Schofield "A Thief, A Failure, A Fabulous Future"Olivia Schofield

Can you imagine reaching the WCPS? All that work and disqualified for going over time in the final! Gutted? No way! The reward is not the award: spectacular speaking is! The trophy of truth brought my speaking to life. At the end of my speech you will emerge a better speaker and be queuing up to compete. The truth about the trophy!

Don’t be afraid of failing: failure can become your biggest success.

Becoming a better speaker is a journey of unexpected rewards.

Whether your journey ends at club level, the WCPS or in disqualification along the way, competing makes you a better speaker. It gains you trophies at all levels: trophies of growth.

Can you imagine going from a speech impediment to being on the stage in front of 2,000 people and ending up as the top women in the finals of a worldwide speaking competition? That was me. That journey took me back to a small girl of two years old, a girl with a speech impediment, failing to speak properly, the first brick in my wall. The feeling that I wasn’t as good as others, another brick, Low self esteem another brick, I was bullied because of it, another, I dropped out of school, I stole and took jobs below my capabilities. Years wasted. Later as a mature student I went to university and graduated with a first class hons. An exceptional achievement? Exceptionally undervalued by me. Then I found my voice. 18 months after walking into my first speaking club, I was standing on a stage in Las Vegas and voted one of the top 9 speakers in the world. A kid with a speech impediment becomes a speaker. "

Without any doubt the crew of the star ship Enterprise is one of the finest crews ever. Captain Kirk, Mister Spock, Doctor McCoy are icons of leadership and decision-making.

What can we learn from them? Which place would you take on the bridge of the Enterprise? What would you do if you were in their shoes? We look at the characteristics, the strengths and weaknesses of each of these star ship officers. And how this translates into their communication, feedback and leadership patterns.

Then you will apply the “Startrek communication model”, see how each communication type interacts with the others and use this as a tool to understand everyday situations. Get yourself into a state were you can adapt your style to communicate and lead more effective.
